Slouching in a booster

My dd just went to the booster mode in her Frontier the other day. Today she falls asleep for the first time and I was shocked at how far she slouched down! Maybe I am just freaking out over her not being in a 5pt anymore, but I actually pulled over and woke her up to sit up better. And of course she fell back asleep and it happened again. Am I just being over protective???

Maybe she is not ready for the booster mode yet, are considering putting her back in harness mode? If she falls asleep often thats what I will do, if she can.

Do her knees bend at (or past) the end of the seat when she sits up straight? It looks like she might be slipping down so that her legs aren't not-quite-bent; you might try putting a footrest in for her (I've seen recommended the cheap styrofoam coolers for this purpose, or a rolled up sleeping bag). I'm also given to understand that you can also get the SlideGuard for the Frontier, to give an added point.

How old is she? She looks pretty small and young, and if she's falling asleep so readily in the seat and not staying in position when she does, I'd lean toward suggesting that she is not yet ready for booster mode.

She is 6yo, 59 pounds, 50 inches, and is in a Frontier. Last week her shoulders still had an inch before the last harness slot, two days ago, I looked at her and her shoulders were over the slot. Sure enough she grew!!

Her knees are past the seat. Her feet are maybe 5 inches from the floor when she sits in her booster. When she sits in a regular car seat (like the actual seat without anything - don't freak - when I'm cleaning or moving a seat), she sits down, her feet actually are flat on the floor.

DS has been goofing off a lot lately in his booster and slouching as well. I don't know a solution because he already has a stole. He is also awake when he is doing it. Do you have a SG clip? I bet that would help.

I had NO idea that I could get one. I just ordered two :)

I hope it helps. We have a Parkway on the way for my Dad's car and was kind of like "wow that clip would be nice on the frontier". LOL! Thanks!!

do you have the SG clip? I'd order it NOW... that will help because it acts like a crotch strap... and will prevent the slouching.

What about a foam block on the floor to put her feet on? That could help to keep her from slouching.

It only fits on the Britax boosters. There's no slot for it on other seats.
