Girls' light up sneakers in size 13

Anyone know where I can find some affordable ones that are not Skechers? Seems like they're hard to find in bigger sizes. Shoe shopping with DD on Sat. was incredibly frustrating because every time I'd show her a shoe she'd ask, "Does it light up?" before even trying it on. We compromised that she'd get 1 pair of new dress shoes, 1 pair of athletic sneakers, and then 1 pair of light up sneakers... Skechers never seem to fit her well... and most places it seems only have them for smaller sizes.

Are you wanting to know brands? If so, Geox and Stride-Rite both make lighted shoes in size 13. Unfortunately I'm no help with store locations since I'm in Canada. I did see that shoebuy.com and endless.com have had them (and maybe do now) although their stock seems to change quickly so keep checking there if they have no none now.

The Stride-Rites I just bought DD are sparkly, sporty, running shoe style Mary Janes that light up and they came in 13. They are really flexible as well unlike the Skechers which were stiff as boards.

Yup. Our Payless only had Shape-Up style sneakers that lit up and I refuse to get them for her.

I haven't gotten to Stride Rite yet (we have an outlet) but looked online... off to look up Geox now, too.

Check out Kids Footlocker, they have the twinkle toes on clearance for $9.99.

What size do you need them? I'm going to the mall in a little while and don't mind grabbing a pair for you.

ETA: I didn't read your op well enough to catch that you don't like the way Sketchers fit. lol

Walmart has a selection of them. Just bought ds2 a pair last Sunday. I dont normally buy light up shoes to begin with but he had to have them. At $15 I couldnt really fight him on it. His are a 13.

Geox's web site is bad and doesn't show everything they have or sizes available or anything. It sucks. :thumbsdown: I did see Geox light ups in 13 though at a store here (which is a chain but I checked, you don't have it in the U.S.). They have a fall 2011 lighted running shoe called the Sprint that may come in a 13. Or if you're fine with spring 2011 or fall 2010 shoes, you'll likely find some more.

Check Kmart. They have light up sneakers very similar to sketchers for $9.99

Thanks, Techno! We have a Nordstrom Rack near here and they may have them, since Nordstrom carries Geox. I'll check there... I like that they're minimally flashy.
