Parents online fail

I get a weekly update from Parents.com. They have a car seat article today. A big fail. First thing - purchase a ff car seat if your kid meats the 1 year 20 lb minimum. Secondly, right after a 5 point harness shield statement, they say it's also a good idea to get a seat with an overhead shield. They usually have points 1 - 10, I quit after the first 3 - third being to use a tether.

I would email them and ask that they correct the info and tell them they are putting kids in danger by suggesting overhead shields.

I wanted to post a link, but there wasn't one in my email, so I didn't know how. Everyone join in and email them! I will, too.:)

I'm quite sure point number 5 is showing an aftermarket cover "so you can wash it." They don't say it's aftermarket, but it looks it to me, "courtesy of Target."

That's the worst car seat "advice article" I think I've ever read.

And they sure did like the Advocate, at $370, didn't they?
