I was searching my Sienna for a toy and realized my 3rd row seats were not fully latched. On my 60 seat the l side was latched in and my r had a golf ball wedged keeping it out and the 40 seat the rear legs were latched and the front were not even close. I don't know how long they were like that. My seats were both there! Anyone with stowing rear seats please check this. My seats felt sturdy and unless crawling around on the floor I would have never known! Took my breath away as I am always so worried about my carseats being installed I never even gave my van seats a second thought!!!

I don't understand what you mean. Your carseats weren't actually connected to the lower anchors?

I had this happen in the middle row of my Sienna on a captains chair once--one of the legs BENT where it latches to the bar in the vehicle, and only one side was actually connected. I had no idea how long it had been that way, and I still feel ILL over it. Always pull up on the seats after latching--I do it all the time now!

About six mos ago I had a family come thru a clinic and their 3rd row (2001 gr caravan) was not attached at all. I pulled upwards on the tail end of the tether strap and the entire bench started to fall forward. Mom had no idea how long it had been like that.
