Aside from making other car seats appear bad, which usually = unsafe to many parents. Notice how the Recaro kid is properly harnessed while the other one isn't. Too bad they weren't rear facing. Way to give the message that FF young is ok, Recaro. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGxSeL-obA0&feature=related"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGxSeL-obA0&feature=related[/ame]

Shows how much I pay attention lol. Still it seems to give parents the idea that a plushy expensive seat is better than a non expensive seat. Parents already don't know that all seats are tested to the same standards and are all safe, why make it harder? If all I had the money for was a Scenera, but I saw something like this, I would feel like my kid wasn't safe . Oh well, at least Recaro wasn't the ones saying all that stuff.

I take it as it is what it is... a video made by a layperson who is NOT a tech... the kids look to be about age 2... so not horrible to have them ff

it looks like they removed any site of the vehicle seats to try to avoid any tell of what vehicle they are in (but on the driver's side, you can see part of the vehicle seat)

because of the angle, I can't tell for sure about the proride's harness being at the right height or not, but it looks like it could be AT his shoulders, where at that angle, it would look bad, but actually be fine.

the real problem with the other seat (and it's not that it's dorel in this case) is that it's clearly expired (note the puzzle buckle and the pattern which tell me it's about 11-12yrs old) AND that the straps are twisted.

I bet the best way to inform the store about the issues with the commercial would be to contact the up and ups directly - http://www.lonestarbaby.com/contacts/
