Why?????

My stash is finally sold off.

No more doing laundry. No more being peed on. No more agonizing over what to stuff with. No more dreading diaper changes. No more trying to find something that works....

Why do I feel stragely disatisfied.....

:)mad: and of course Camille has a spoty bum rash we can't clear up)

Sorry Mama, maybe you really wanted it to work? Even if you tried your best it still sucks when things dont work out the way you wanted.

I think it is like when I found out Camille had galactosemia, I knew there was not way I could breastfed her safely but yet....it was supposed to be the best!

Oh, and she has a rash from the sposies so I guess I am destined to hunt for a diaper that works wether it is sposies or cloth...

ETA: Never realized how gross and bad smelling desposables were either...

Not meaning to be rude... but why did you change?

The most recent style redesign of Pampers in 2005 caused hideous hives on my dd. They had been great before that. Huggies turned out to be the only ones that worked well for us after that. No smell or skin problems. White Cloud was another nightmare when I tried those out. Then when she went to pullups, the no-name brand that has pretty giraffes & velcro closings were best. But I think everyone is different on what works best for them. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about it anymore :p

Now it's just the Goodnights pullups we use for overnight and I'm seriously considering trying out Fuzzi Bunz when I have a little extra $. DD HATES waking up whenever there's even the tiniest moisture and she just can't hold it all night long yet :(

no, your not being rude...

We switched to cloth because of the hives, rash, etc in the first place...

We loved it for about 2 months and then all of a sudden they both starting leaking like crazy.....after trying EVERYTHING anyone suggested for a while...we switched back to sposies....

And here we are.

We only use Huggies Supreme because of DS2's sensitive skin. The regular Huggies leaked like crazy for us, so we switched to the Supreme.

Try (as hard as it may be) to only use a warm wash cloth to clean up her messes with diaper changes. DS2 had a horrible rash that wouldn't go away and the nurse said to stop using wipes...viola (sp?)...rash gone. I then switched to Huggies Natural care wipes and occassionally Sensitve care wipes. They have no fragrance and are supposed to be very gentle. No rashes since (except for a yeast infection caused by an antibiotic).

Good luck to you!

My brother could only use Huggies Supreme because of rashs. Both my sister's used Luvs, the old version with the plastic cover, we loved those stupid things. My DD can only use Pamper's baby dry, everything else gaps all weird and leaks like crazy.

Yessss, Huggies Supreme

The only wipes we ever used were the Pampers Sensitive -- perfume free. Sometimes they were advertised to have aloe or Chamomile in it. Neither affected her. But if anything had any perfume in it, dd's bottom would react quickly. :( Huggies free would work in a pinch, but they were thicker and not as soft on her tush. I also appreciated getting refills for the pop-up Pampers container. Much easier than digging through and grabbing the Huggies wipes out of the bag.

You guys are right, I will try Huggies Supreme. The aggrievating thing is I just spent $40 on 2 big boxes of Luvs....

Julie, I don't mind doing laundry, I just counted it as a plus. That AIO looks like a dream come true. I must try one at least.

i guess its a little late but i was gonna suggest that you see what your friends use and borrow a few of each from them to try and see what works or maybe see if you know someone who uses the ones that you buy, try and that dont work so that you're not wasting the money. we use pampers baby dry, those were the only ones that DS didnt have a reaction with, i think it just depends on your child and their skin, as far as getting used to the smell, just make sure you're not using a diaper geine, i think those hold in the smell in the worse way, i got rid of mine b/c i would nearly pass out when i opened it

Yep, you notice the smell a lot more when you're not using them :p . Over the weekend, I was holding several different babies and I almost couldn't stand it, because I could smell their diapers (they weren't soaked or anything, either) lol. I usually have the same reaction when I do the baby nursery, too.

LOL! You know what, I too got into a "i hate CD's" stage when dd was a little over a year...went to sposies for maybe a month...and eventually ended up hating it and went back to my CD's, happier than ever!! (Thank goodness I'm lazy and hadn't sold them yet, LOL!) Also, while CDing, I had phases where i would hate/love a certain TYPE of dipey over others...went through a PF stage, fitteds, AIO's, pockets, etc.
I think it sort of comes and goes...

Jess, who's already hunting for a newborn stash....*whistles*
