Question Borrowing latch

I'm not sure, but if you have your vehicle's owner manual, look in the index for ether "LATCH" or "Child restraint systems" If it doesn't explicitly say you can, then the answer is no.

It should be in your vehicle manual. Like Augie said, if it doesn't say you can, then assume you can't. If, by chance, your vehicle manual allows borrowing, your child seat manufacturer must ALSO allow it. But they must both allow it, not one or the other. What child seat do you have?

The 2004-2011 Chevrolet Colorado crew cab models have dedicated outboard sets of LATCH and GM does not allow borrowing the outboard lower anchors to do a center LATCH installation according to the LATCH manual.

Thanks! I really want to get the LATCH manual. But, not being with an organization, I'm not sure it's worth the money. :( Maybe if private checks pick up.

It means using the innersmost lower LATCH anchor from each outboard set to install in the center, essentially "borrowing" an anchor from each side.
