Advocate 65 CS slowly reclining with use

Hi, we just bought an '08 Hyundai Entourage and have installed our Advocate 65cs rf in the passenger side captain's chair. I get a super-solid install with LATCH, but find that over the next couple of days, with use, the car seat back reclines from about 30 degrees down to 45-ish (I thought I was seeing things, but the rf tether starts out with no slack, and then a couple of days later, is hanging quite slack). The seat remains solidly immobile at its base as this happens. Are there any tricks to installing the seat to ensure the recline doesn't change?

Another question as well: I've never had captain's chairs...after installing the car seat, is there any preference safety-wise, as to the position of the armrests of the chair on either side of the carseat?

Thanks so much.

Hello and welcome! I thought for sure someone would answer your question because it's popped up here before. I believe there's no fix for it. Just keep scootching it toward the back of the vehicle seat and make sure the install is as tight as you can get it. Then call Britax and let them know about the issue.

It doesn't matter where you have the armrests. I always had mine up and out of the way when I had captains chairs.

Can you try to get infront of the seat and push it into the seat you are installing in? Installing at a different angle might help.

Hi, thanks so much for your answers. I've just be readjusting and retightening every time I see it and I think it's happening less and less. Maybe the captain's chair cushion was too soft and I'm finally flattening it over time (this is the only thing I can think of).
