This doesn't surprise me... My BFF had a 2008 T&C. We called it her "Space Shuttle from Hell." She had it a little over a year before getting rid of it.

I read my recall notice email from NHTSA wrong :( I thought id said June-July 2007 DOM... It says June 2007-July 2008... I am obviously in that group.

Now I need to find a decent dealership to do the repairs. My local one is ridiculous!

I'm glad that mine isn't part of the recall, but it's not something that would scare me... all vehicles have recalls on things from time to time.

I really love my van... I'm just ready for something more fuel efficient... when we can afford it.... on the other hand, I still really appreciate having the 3rd row... having all that space for things on longer trips and stuff... I wish they could make a minivan that had the mileage of a prius...

I actually liked my '05/'06 Caravan waaaay better then my '09. I really liked my '09 for awhile, too (the recalls never bothered me, actually...I'd rather see them then not), but I struggled for so long to find a booster compatible with the 3rd row for my oldest (that I was fully comfortable with). In the end, it was that, the shoulder belt placement in the 3rd row, the depressing gas mileage (13-14 MPG on a *good* day - and I am a VERY conservative city driver), and the crappy dealership service that made DH and I decide to trade it in for something else, that met ALL of our needs, that we'd be happy with long-termish.

I finally get my van back after a month and have to turn around and give it back for another repair. I will probably drive an hour away to another Dodge dealership, though. After what the service dept at this one did with my computer, I don't trust them.
