High back boosters... Is this one good or do I need to keep looking?

I did extensive research (a lot thanks to you all!) for dd's carseat and decided on the Sunshine Radian, but unfortunately it doesn't fit in the back dh's '98 Ford F150 extended cab (3rd door, not full backseat, secondary vehicle). Right now if we have to use his vehicle, she's still in her Triumph and she's 2 lbs too heavy. Not good. I think the Radian was our best shot as far as size, sooooo I have resolved that a high back booster is the next safest thing for his truck. I have heard that the Parkway Booster is the favored booster, but after spending the $$ on the Radian we cannot afford this option. I found an Evenflo Big Kid Booster Car Seat on sale at Walmart and wanted to check with the experts to make sure it's safe before opening the box to see if it fits. If you don't recommend it, please give some suggestions.

Here are dd's stats:
4.5 years old
42 lbs
43 inches

Thanks so much!

I'd skip the Big Kid. No energy-absorbing foam, shallow headwings, no good for side impact protection, no good for sleep support.

For cheaper boosters, I'd only look at the Graco TurboBooster, honestly. The Compass B510 is fabulous but about the same price as an on-sale Parkway. Avoid the other Compass boosters, they are way too short.

Thanks, Jenny, for you reply and recommendations.

I did a quick search on the Graco Turbobooster. Is there a difference btw Graco High Back TurboBooster Car Seat and the Graco TurboBooster SafeSeat Step3. The only differences I see are the $2 price diff and the description is the same except the safeseat step3 one says "latch system not needed". Is it needed on the other. We'll need on that the latch is not needed on. Thanks so much!!

We had it for my mom's car and I didn't like it. Big reason? My dd falls asleep in the car often and there are no side wings to hold her head up/lean on. She slumped over and it was completely unsafe. So we got a Parkway instead and it keeps her head up. It may be worth the extra 40.00. My dd is 45 lbs and 41 inches and it fits her great.
