Oh, my. Apparently graco decided to resurrect the century brand. Maybe they decided they needed to have more than one, like dorel.

since graco still owns the name and the company, they can do with it what they want.

However, century used to be slightly better than graco... they've apparently decided to use it for their most base line products instead.

As much as most of us hate rear adjusts, at least they are making a lower end travel system. Hopefully that'll mean we'll stop seeing people sell a rear adjust Graco system on CL for $150, even admiting it expires Dec 2012.

That has to be the cheapest travel system i've ever seen (not on clearance)...grrrr for rear adjust seats

I was thinking the same thing! And some people still don't take the adjustment into account when buying buckets...I babysit for a lot of families with babies and two of them have basic safety 1st infant seats with no front adjust... every single time I pick up the kids I have to *at least* tighten the straps, if not move them to the appropriate slots...frustrating (especially knowing that as soon as I bring them home, the straps are going to be loosened again because it's easier and all I can do is pray they don't get into an accident) :(

rant over now lol

Well, this is annoying!

I was just talking to someone on Sat and felt very confident in my assertion that all Century carseats are expired by now. She said a social worker had given her a brand new one with tags still on but she didn't like it so she gave it away and bought an Eddie Bauer 3 in 1. She didn't say WHEN this happened, but the baby is 15 months. I had assumed it was at least a few months ago so I'm sure it wasn't one of these new ones. But WHY would they resurrect an old name?

If she sees this new seat, she'll think I'm nuts!

Sheeesh!

Ugh... Way to confuse non-car-seat-crazy-people Graco!

A friend told me Century was selling seats again a few weeks ago... I told her she was nuts... UGH

I sent a comment to Graco about using the name Century again. (Useless, I know but I still did it!)

I just got an automated response from Newell Rubbermaid! How interesting!
