Question Need booster recommendations

DD2 needs to get out of her expired Britax Marathons. I want to move DD2 to DD1's Graco Nautilus seats in both vehicles. So I need two new boosters for DD1.
DD1 is 7.5yrs, 56# 50". DD2 is 5.9yrs 46# 44".
Vehicle 1 2007 Nissan Altima. Vehicle 2 2002 Chevy Silverado pickup 4-door crew cab.

DD1 is currently harnessed in both GNs. This morning I tried her using the GN as a HBB and as a backless booster in both vehicles just to get an idea. Neither worked in the pickup, the belt position was all wrong. In the car, the belt fit wasn't great in HBB mode but it fits perfectly in backless. I'd like to spend around $100 each. DD1 doesn't fall asleep in the seats.

My questions are:

1) The car seems to have good head support. Should I go backless?

2) What backless booster is similar to the GN as backless? Turbo booster?

3) Are there any backless boosters that are latchable? (I can just imagine not securing the booster when not in use)

4) I don't like the head support for DD1 in the pickup truck if we were to go backless. What HBB would you recommend? (I think I'd prefer a latchable one but then again I'm sure we could get used to buckling it in when not in use.)

Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks in advance,
Debbie

I would try the new HB Evenflo Amp. :) I LOVE my backless Amp! It doesn't LATCH in, but it is worth a try.

I would also try the Britax Parkway SGL. It does LATCH in.

The only truly backless LATCH-able boosters I know of are the Clek ones. $$$$$

My preference is to go with a highback booster as long as possible. I prefer the extra support and side impact protection. I would recommend looking at a Monterey booster for your DD1. It is a hbb that is latchable and it can convert to a nbb down the road.

I would rather go with a highback, as well.

you will need to seatbelt in the booster when not in use.

I'd probably go a little over your preferred budget and get the SK Monterey because I doubt she has narrow shoulders that would keep her from getting a good belt fit.

I knew I'd get some good answers here! Thank you everyone! I found the SK Monterey at Walmart for 111.98 with free shipping to my local store. Is that a good deal?

That's a great price. We got a monterey for $99 but it was almost a year old when we got it. By the way ds2 is 5y, 58# and over 4'. He LOVES the monterey compared to her turbo.

I ordered the Monterey in Pink!! It could take almost 2 wks to get it...Oh I don't know if I can wait that long!! I'll try it in both vehicles then decide if I should get another one or a different booster.
