Is she getting close? I promise I'll quit bugging you all when I finally learn what passing the 5 step test looks like.

Yes she passes, teach her how to hold the lapbelt down on the anchor side while she tightens to get rid of that funny looking rise.

she definitely passes, but do you have a vehicle headrest to put on her seat? cause if not, I'd keep her in a highback.

It's also hard to see if her legs bend in that position. If they don't, then no, she doesn't pass. But the seatbelt looks good.

And yes, she needs a headrest or a high back booster.

There are headrests for all seating locations. I've just removed all the back headrests for car seats, or attempts at fitting car seats. I took dd's photo in the center seat because it has the more shallow seat. Her legs bend right at the edge of the middle seat, but not the side.

I like when people post photo questions because it helps me learn.
Someday we'll be 5 stepping too, a long time from now.

I figured there were... but had to mention it (for benefit of lurkers).

she definitely 5-steps, but I'd probably keep her in a booster as long as she still has proper head support as long as possible because she can benefit from the false hips until she's in puberty or about 13yrs old.

Of course, if fitting all the kids in the car means you need her to ride in just the seatbelt in that seat, that's another matter... but I know you're awesome at fitting everyone in seats!
