Input on Compass Boosters needed...

I'd love to know if anyone has carried a compass booster on an airplane? Does it stow in the overhead?

Also, how easily do they fold and do they lock closed?

Finally, on the B570 specifically...how substantial are the headwings? And how supportive is the seat for a sleeping child?

We have this seat for my fiances son. I have never taken it on a plane so I can't help you with that. The seat is sturdy so a bit heavy to carry even when folded. It def. weighs more than other high back boosters...but it is sturdy and it works for us for a few reasons. My fiances son is 5 and a half and weighs over 60 lbs. He is very broad so it gives him a little more room. Also, other boosters have tipped because he is so broad (top heavy)...if he falls asleep...the other boosters tip or the belt doesn't stay positioned. This seat doesn't tip at all. If he falls asleep he stays sitting correctly, back up, head up, ect. The belt stays where it needs to. The head wings are great (part of why he stays positioned correctly when he sleeps...it acts as a pillow for him) I am happy that this seat doesn't lean, tip ect.

ETA: it does lock closed...you have to pull on a lever and push the bottom down

Haven't used it on an airplane. Gave one to my mil for my niece years ago--it's the B505 model. It can be tough to fold, so it won't "fall open", but I don't remember a lock on it. Hopefully, the new models fold easier. The headwings look better on the new model, B570, than what we have. Don't know about sleeping--kiddos have only ridden in it for short rides.
