Shredded Harness Adjuster- Should I be Concerned

Today I went to put Daniel in his seat and I noticed some shredding on his harness adjuster. I tried to take some pictures but I'm having trouble uploading at the moment. Should I be concerned about this? What should I do?

If it's honestly shredded through, that's an issue. If it's fuzzy, that's not a problem. That's normal.

Wendy, it appears there is something cutting the strap. I don't know what that is though because it seems to be inside the harness adjuster and I don't want to take it apart because I dont know that I can put it back together, you know?

Yeah, there's something there that's hitting it, but it looks fuzzy. I don't see rips in the strap itself.

I don't see rips... yet. I don't know how long this has been going on. So basically it's fine still? I was going to call Combi about it, but I won't waste my time if they're going to tell me it's normal. My worry is that it's just fuzzy today, but could rip later on and I won't notice it.

That's typical with cco. Mine's super fuzzy as well and has been within weeks of use. Subconsciously you are pulling at a slight angle to tighten and it's hitting something. It's a design flaw of sorts. Mine looks way worse than yours and I have no qualms with using it.

That's what my CCO adjusters looked like. From that fuzz pattern, I'd guess you have him passenger side outboard. ;)

Yep. That tends to happen when you pull slightly to one side, rather than straight.

My CCO has the same dealy. (The second one I bought doesn't, because by that time I learned to pull more straight.)

Heh, you are correct. I'm happy to hear it's not just me. I nearly flipped a gasket this afternoon when I saw it and made Dh pull out the KF to see if Daniel fit in it when he woke up tomorrow morning. I'm sure he'll be oh so happy to put it back in garage. He thinks I'm insane. I think the RF tether put him over the edge :p
