So glad I did not buy the maestro

I bought a Graco Nautilus back in Jan I think after I found a killer deal at my local walmart making the Nauti only $30 bucks or so more expensive then the Maestro.

I have been thinking that Nevaeh is right at around 45# I weighed her today and was doing the happy dance when the scale said 37# for her thinking I could pull out her myride and rerearface her. I even went so far as to grab the car seat out of the storage area. She had just enough shell over her head. So before I went and installed the seat I figured I better double check her weight and got the same measurement but then noticed that she was holding on to the sink. Had her let go of the sink and her weight was really 51#

So if I had went with the maestro Nevaeh would HAVE to go to booster full time. I can not afford to buy another harnessed seat for her. She is super impulsive and is so not ready for boostering full time. So now I am just thanking my lucky stars I found the good deal on the Nauti at walmart.

Gotta tell you , you completely lost me here and I was not sure why you were so glad about not purchasing the Maestro. Usually when I see a post like this I am hoping to get more information about the cons of a seat...

Glad you are happy with your purchase.

Oh sorry. I was glad I did not purchase the maestro bc it only had a 50# harness weight.

I did not think I would ever need the 65# harness of the Nauti and thought 50# would be more then sufficient but alas growth spurt happened before booster mental maturity

LOL. I'm glad you realized she was holding onto the sink before you put her RF in that MR! And double-glad you ended up with the Nautilus. :)

I totally got it... you're glad because you have one of the few kids who would have outgrown it by weight instead of height (my dd was the opposite... she was going back and forth between 48-50lbs when she outgrew the Nauti... she would have been fine with a Maestro if it had been out at the time)
