I am expecting my 3rd child next month. We have a 2005 Saturn Vue - the back seat measures 48" (i think ) across. I have twin girls who will be 4 in August. THey aren't quite 40" yet. I am getting really nervous that I wont be able to fit 3 seats across - does anyone have a vue and can fit the 3 seats across - does anyone know if 48" (full seat) is enough room for 3 seats? I will re-measure tomorrow but I am pretty sure it is 48"

Yes, You can fit 3 across in the VUE. There are some mommy's on here with 3 across in small compact cars (Chevy Cavalier/ Toyota Corolla, etc...). It's just going to be a matter of what seats you currently have and what infant carrier you are planning on using.

Your best bet is to go to a store like Babies R Us or USA Baby and test different seat configurations out.

Can we ask what seats you girls are currently in?

Two Radians with an infant carrier, maybe a snugride or a safeseat (SS1) might work well. What are your girls currently in?

They are in the eddie bauer (costco) from babies r us (got them 4 years ago). They are the boosters with the 5 pt harness. I am willing to buy new seats (would be a lot cheaper then the alternative :D )

All I know it is the eddie bauer booster (5 pt harness) made by costco. We got it at babies r us about 4 years ago.

I'd get a Radian 65 for each of your girls, then after you have them, and have them installed go to Babies R Us and try the Graco Safe Seat 1 and a few other infant carriers between them... get which fits best and you like best.

Thanks - I am gonna look into that - I guess if for some reason they don't fit, i can return them w/ receipt and box. I really hope everything fits.
