What do you do with your old ones? My cover came off the locking mechanism and so Graco told me not to use it. What do you do with it now.. Do they expire along with seats?

That is what I was thinking.. When we go to the shore the pile of crap in the back is always over the back seat.... I don't know how that works logistically but I am sure Dh can figure it out.

So 6 yrs for Latches too? Unless it states otherwise?

I've seen some interesting uses for latch straps. You can make a shopping basket seat. Or, attach to a walker and make a seat or shelf for that. I don't remember what, but be creative as long as it isn't being used for safety.

Attach to something secure inside your car's trunk and use the other end to keep grocery carts from rolling away. The strap I use for this is technically for keeping a flat tire strapped down, but I encounter grocery carts a lot more often than flat tires.

I don't think I have ever had a grocery cart try and escape.. lol. Pretty flat here.. But I get where you are going...

I use mine for dog restraining when my doxies are riding in the middle row with a harness on (attached to the LATCH strap).
I'd use one for an all-purpose tie down if my dh's SUV HAD cargo hooks at all

I made both of them with old harnesses and latch straps...
