Question Car seats with lock offs?

I was talking to a girl at LLL tonight and she has an ETA, bought because of the consumer reports recommendation for her son at 6 mos, who is now 7 mos. Not sure what kind, but she drives a 1995 car. She had a Chicco infant seat that she loved because it had the locking clip, and she misses that because her seat belts don't lock. She has to use a locking clip :( I told her that some convertible seats have lock offs. I know Britax and the True Fit do, any others or is one better than the other. I showed her my MA 70 and how they work. She was very impressed. Babies R us here now carry both the TF and the Britax seats, so I could have her look at them.

The seats that have built-in lockoffs, other than the infant seats, are the Combi Coccoro (actually not built-in rear-facing, but comes with a lockoff for that, and has built-in lockoffs FF), I think the Zeus might?, the Britax convertibles, the True Fit/TFP, the Nautilus Elite, the CozyCline or whatever they renamed the SafeSeat 2, and I think there are a few I'm missing...

That said, does she not have a lap-only belt in the center? If she does, it probably locks. :)

Huh, I will have to ask her about the middle seat...

Also, even though they didn't have to, many 1995 cars did have belts that locked in some way- sometimes at the latch plate, so if you can find out make and model, we might be able to tell her that they DO lock even if the shoulder belt doesn't.
