Folding Down Front Seat for Better A/C?

I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but I'm not too sure where to put it.

It's hot here. I believe it converts to around 95-105 Fahrenheit when you consider the humidex. My car has no rear vents and I was sitting in the back seat with the A/C on nursing Emi the other day and found it very hot. If I have no front passenger, would folding down my passenger front seat(it folds flat) make a difference in more air getting to her?

Or should I just find her one of those little battery powered fans? If I got one where would I mount it?

Any thoughts?

i don't know if folding down the passenger seat would help, but we found pointing the vents upwards helps. if it seems like it would help you could close the vents on the sides and leave the ones in the middle of the dash open (assuming there is space in the middle for the air to flow to the back and not a bench seat in front).

Ya, DD is in the middle and I point the vents to the ceiling on full blast. It helps, not as good as if there were vents back there, but enough so that she isn't going to die of heat stroke. :)

My rear a/c is not doing so well in the hot temp this summer (running 100° + for the last few days. I was back there the other day and turned the rear unit off because it was practically just blowing in hot air from outside. I had dh turn the vents up to the ceiling and out made a huge difference. It worked well enough that my teenage brother in the third row said (without being asked) he was cool enough that we could turn it down after about 10 minutes.

Now brought to you by my Vortex and *ghasp* an app.... I joined the craze... Now please excuse the typos while I master this swype thing.

Awesome! It's a very bearable 70 something here today and will be for the next few days(thank jeebuz), but it's supposed to heat back up later next week so I'll definitely give it a shot then.
