Should I buy an Oobr?

My ds is 6. He has been sitting mainly in a turbo this summer. I was going to wait until fall to move him to a booster full time but for various reasons his Frontier was moved out and he has mostly been booster riding. He has done awesome.

We already have......

TB (ds's main seat right now)
Probooster (ds's seat in dh's vehicle)
Frontier (ds uses for long trips)
Monterey (dd's main seat)
PW - old model (dd's seat in dh's vehicle)
Harmony Light rider - spare for friends that I bought on a whim

The TB was originally purchased as a spare for friends but then became his main seat. It really fits him well.

I have been seeing the skurvy Oobr on sale and think we might need it. I really want a seat with LATCH in my vehicle. I also would prefer his seat to have more sip than the TB. DS thinks it is a way cool seat but I do worry that he will outgrow the coolness factor before he outgrows the seat.

Is it insane to get ANOTHER booster?

I don't like the oobr. It's uncomfortable and has a very shallow seat. If your ds likes it, though (as in- he's sat in it and says he likes it), then I don't think it's insane to buy yet another booster. That just isn't the one I'd choose.

If you want another booster, get another booster. :p However, my DS1 disliked the Oobr. He was forever complaining of how uncomfortable he was, mostly in the seat botton area. He'd also complain that his back was sore, especially after a non-short ride in it.

We love our Oobr. I don't think my dd1 has ever complained and it positions the belt perfectly, even when she is out cold sleeping. If you want it, get it!

We love LOVE our Oobr. I swear it uses just a little bit of magic positioning the shoulderbelt. :p And DS chooses it over the PKWYSG, Turbo and GN every time. I predict we will be going through a handful of Oobrs as our kids grow.

Thanks! He has sat in the Oobr a few times. I'm guessing sitting and trying it out in the store is just not the same as owning it, though. The PWSG was just not a great fit for him last time I tried him in it. I may have to go try some seats out before jumping to the Oobr.

Keep an eye on nobetterdeal.com
I have seen a couple and grabbed mine in black for under $130 there.
