Carseat on airplane

Next week I am flying to Boston with my boss and her 2 year old, who is still rear facing in all vehicles. We are using my Combi Coccoro for our travels.

We will be forward facing her on the plane so she can watch the TV on the seat back in front of her.

Can I leave the harness in the slots she uses for RF while the seat is installed on the airplane? If not, can I raise the harness to the next slot, which is less than an inch above her shoulders, and still use the seat RF from the airport to the hotel? She has probably 3.5 inches of shell above her head. I'm trying to avoid having to deal with luggage, a baby, a stressed out mom AND changing the harness height on the seat multiple times while in the airport.

Pic of shell above her head:

I wouldnt. It would probably take all of two minutes to re-thread the harness when you get to the car. If she wants easy, keep her rear-facing on the plane and try to occupy her another way. I would keep my two year old rear-facing on a plane if I had a CCO.
