Cracked my lightweight locking latchplate

I can just rip it off and use a locking clip now, right? Also, if I put the FR there using LBP, there is literally no slack to put a locking clip on. It uses all the webbing from the retractor. Is this ok, since there is no risk of the seat getting loose even without one?

Dumb RFing Radian.

Yup, it's broken anyway so rip off the vestiges of the LWLLP.

Remember, what's important is that the seat is pre-crash positioned. Usually, if you don't lock the belt, you won't be able to get less than an inch of movement, and even if you did, a mile down the road it would be loose. If you have used up all the webbing, there is no slack. It can't loosen up as you drive down the road. The seat will be properly pre-crash positioned.
