Broken Locking latchplates in 2004 Dodge Durango

So, my parents are away for the weekend so I took the chance to install seats in my Mom's car. Bad idea. The one rear passenger locking latch plate (the plastic part broke from being shut in the door a few weeks back. Well now the rear driver latch plate snapped while I was tightening the Radian.

I know that the seat belts are now no longer usable for carseat installation unless I use a locking clip, but are they okay for a normal passenger? Are they unsafe?

Any idea how to get them fixed? Cost?

Thanks.

They are find for a normal passenger. Now you have sliding latchplates with ELRs, which is how most of us ride around every day. Vehicles with switchable retractors have sliding latchplates and are ELR unless they are switched for a carseat installation.

Of course, if it's a lap-only belt with a broken latchplate, that would NOT be safe, ever.
