Tech Class Registration - how long does it take?

I registered on Monday for a tech class that starts on 8/2 in College Station, TX. It's a controlled course with 8 open seats. How long should I expect to wait before hearing if I'm approved or not?

Have you contacted the instructor to introduce yourself, explain why you want to take the class, etc.? I probably would have gotten approval before registering.

If you haven't already, I'd send an email or call and ask. (The instructor, that is.)

I didn't email or call. There was a note on the screen that said there was no need to email the instructor, just to wait for an email.

Oh. I'd probably still email anyway. Not to ask when you'll hear, but to explain why you want to take the class and that you hope to hear from him/her soon.

Thank you, Jennie! I just sent her an email and did just what you said. I hope I can get into the class!

Thanks again!

It took about a week for me to hear about my class registration. When I called to find out about payment of fees, I left a message and got a call back the next day.

When are you taking the class?

Glad you're in! Mine was a controlled class, so I had to call. I'm not with an organization, just wanted to take it for personal reasons, not a job. He was awesome and opened the class for me. :)
