Help please installing in a dodge ram 2500

Hi I haven't posted in a while and am in need of any advice I can get. Hubby's jeep kicked the bucket a month ago. We have been a one car family, using only my T&C. Now my van has kicked the bucket as well. For the immediate future we will be using a 2000 dodge ram 2500, passenger van. I have NO experience installing in such a vehicle. I have two radian 65 2007 models, two Monterays(no real issues there), one old style Marathon 2007, one graco cargo(expiring this year). Kids riding will be on a regular basis: one just turned 4y/o she is tiny and goes between RF and FF, 26lbs. not sure on height. Still fits RF in both the marathon and radian. one 6 y/o, 38lbs. FF in a Radian usually, one 8y/o in a Monteray, one 10y/o in a monteray. On frequent occasions I also have a 2y/o maybe 23lbs, RF in my car. I do not know anything, but that supposedly there are only two shoulder/lap belts in the van, all the rest maybe lap belts only. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

I'm not really sure, but I wanted to reply and bump the thread in hopes that someone who does have an answer will see it.

If there are only two lap/shoulder belts in the van, they would be for the driver and front passenger. Since you have two booster riders, that would be a Problem.

The good news is, I've Googled and found a few images of the interior of 2000 Dodge Ram vans. It looks like there are shoulder belts for all the driver's side seats, and for the passenger's side in the fifth row.

Some of these 15 passenger vans prohibit any child restraints in the wayback row. Without access to the owner's manual, avoid using the last row. With five kids and three usable rows, it shouldn't be a problem. You can put your booster riders in the driver's side seats, and you don't even have to worry about three across.

Well it seems the van is only an 8 passenger. It only has two benches. Each bench has only one lap/shoulder belt combo and two lap belts. I'm having trouble with the fact that the lap belts are feeding well into the belt paths of the car seats. I've twisted a good three full turns and no luck. The seats are tight, but I'm not sure about safe. Can the male/female ends be completely behind the child's back inside the belt path??
Thanks for your reply's I'm just stumped on how to keep my kids safe for the next month or so.

Yes, if the buckle stalk is long enough you can just pull it into the belt path for your carseat installs. I had an 8-passenger Chevy Astro van with a similar set up (two bench seats in the rear, lap/shoulder belts outboard with lap-only belts center) and it wasn't bad. (The hardest part was loading all the kids through ONE door LOL!) There's a picture of how it looks to have the buckle in the belt path in this thread; just scroll down to post #13.

For the booster seats, however, the buckle needs to be outside the belt path.
