Baby Trend no longer including locking clips on seats?

I've had one returned due to not fitting in a Honda (and evidently the 'tech' didn't have a locking clip or think it didn't need one, just claimed the seat wouldn't work and made the parents return the whole travel system...), and several other people come in to buy locking clips for their BT's lately. And then I gave the floor models a once-over and couldn't *find* a LC, but who knows if it was in the manual bag and is hiding elsewhere.
You'd think BT would sell them separately and make a few bucks off people, but no, so far BRU only carries Graco ones, I'm sure Graco is loving the profit
I need to remember to stick one of my 2 dozen spare clips in the drawer at work in case we sell out of the Gracos so I can give them out to people.
(Since it's an 'open' belt path and you only put the lapbelt in the guides, theoretically it should install fine, without tipping...but the belt path is so short, that many belts get all the way tightened, and actually think they are unbuckled and the belt switches back to ELR mode and won't hold the seat in place, a LC is the remedy for that problem.)

Locking Clip
The Locking Clip is stored under the
pad on the right side of the Safety Seat
and is used to securely install the Safety
Seat with certain types of vehicle lap/
shoulder combination belts

.... sort of where I'd never think to look for it, lol. DOES explain the problems with the last two people who were just trying to install spare bases, and they aren't on the base.

Right side of the seat/vehicle, baby's left side. Just pull the cover off the bottom of the seat and it's threaded through a little loop of elastic.

The base does not come with a LC.
