Are infant seats safer then Infant seat vs convertibles ??

Just curious about this? Iam waiting for my Britax to arrive but Iam wondering if it is safer to keep my little man in his bucket seat as long as possible? He is only a little over 17 pounds and about 27 inches.

*sorry I messed up the title:P*

I would be fine in the Britax. Just make sure, whatever he is in, that it is installed correctly and he is in it correctly.

They're only safer if they fit the baby and the car better.

Ditto the previous posters. An infant seat isn't any safer than a convertible, provided both seats fit the baby properly and are installed properly.

Happy early 1st birthday to your little man. My dd's birthday is 3 days later.
