    good MPG with extra seating

Although I am not looking to buy right this minute I would like to look into a new vehicle that has good MPG but seats more than a car. I love the look of a Pilot but I have heard they aren't great on miles. What would be your top picks? Top pick if money wasn't an issue and if you were on a budget? TIA!

My Pilot gets 18mpg in my mixed, everyday driving and 23-24 if I drive it exclusively highway (ie, a road trip or something that has NO city mixed in. Even a bit of city makes a huge difference.)

    Just FWIW.
Down to just a spare Radian, folded in the hall closet for my Godbaby.

Check out this thread for a Pilot overview!

What do you actually get with the 5? I was looking at the website earlier and I believe it said 21/28. That doesn't seem fabulous to me. I'm starting to consider a sedan that sits like a suv. Is there such a thing?

My supposed 20/25 mpg Tribute gets 20 pretty much exclusively. I drive a combo of city/hwy.

Money not an issue? Highlander Hybrid. I have a review at Carseatblog.com. Currently getting 30-31mpg around town.

    We have an 08 5.
We got 28-30 on a 19 hour trip without extra cargo- Driver, two kids and two dogs.
We got 23 on a 10 hour trip with 3 adults (one rather large) three kids, and a VERY loaded hard car top carrier.
I think we get 23-24 around town most of the time: 1-2 Adults and 3 kids.
