I prefer Cowmoo because it's soft and plush. Red Rock is mesh (well the seat part anyway; there's that small gray area that isn't), which I wouldn't want because it tends to snag, especially if the child has velcro on his/her shoes.

The 85 does not have mesh in the feet area anymore. It is mesh, which is breathable. I have a cowmoo and a Rushmore (which is mesh) and I like them both. That would make me no help. LOL!!

Red, I already have to watch for loose livestock around here I don't need it in the car.

I LOVE my Cowmoo seats :) It's really soft and feels nice, and they don't look dirty that easily. I feel like they hold up better than other covers.

What color does your ds want? I'd give him the 2 options and go with whichever one he chooses.

DS just smiles at both seats. He doesn't care, he has some special needs.

If you plan to harness long term, I'd say stay away from the Cowmooflage. There will likely come a point where your son might think the print is babyish.

We plan to harness until our children are much much older. I can see my 9 yr old balking at the idea of sitting in a carseat. But I can see the issue be magnified if she perceives that seat to be "babyish" because of the print.

we have red rock and I love it. At the time of purchase cow was not made yet so it wasnt a option but i like the mesh because of Braydens problems with heat intolerance. we dont have problems with the grey snagging with Velcro shoes either. I have had teh seat for 1.5 years and the cover still looks brand new.
