Help me shop for some toys for DS...

DH and I want to get a few more toys for DS. He's just starting to sit up. He has a stacker and stacking cups. He also has blocks. We don't have an exersaucer, jumperoo, etc. for him and plan to keep it that way, so we're looking for toy ideas that he can play while sitting. Currently he is obsessed with our cell phones, the computer keyboard, and the remote control. I want to just buy him a cheap one of each of these things but DH says he'd prefer "toys" instead of just remotes, keyboards, etc. because of chemicals and electronic parts. Me? I'd like toys that don't make a ton of noise, light up, etc. But whatever.

Can anyone suggest any toys that would be good for these interests?

No clue on the electronic type toys. Mitchell would only go for the real thing. Babies are too smart to think that rattle remote is as good as the one Dad uses. Mitchell's hit list...

On my list to acquire next is some sort of stand and play activity table. He likes to stand and play with our assistance. Like this...[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Boikido-2010-Activity-Table/dp/B000NVRT1Y/ref=sr_1_28?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1308682718&sr=1-28"]Amazon.com: Boikido Activity Table: Baby[/ame] but likely due to finances, we'll end up with something plastic that makes a lot of noise.

We have Sophie. He loves that darn giraffe. We have a similar ball, but I've never seen the Skwish before. Ooooh... and that table made me think. We used to have one of those bead mazes from IKEA for DD but I have no idea where it went...
