Radian Cover Replacement

Anyone had luck getting their Radian cover replaced after the 1 year warranty. My Radian is less than 2 years old and looks like a 20 year old car seat. The cover is snagged and fuzzy and large sections of velvet have worn off so the seat is thread bare in spots. I've only washed the seat twice, and both times I just spot washed it by hand.

Me! And I didn't have my proof of purchase because I got it from a mama here. She had gotten a replacement for her original due to fraying. I recently took the original off to wash and put the replacement on, but the one side of elastic would not stay on. Mine is expected to come today.

Their customer service was great to me and worked with me because of the needs of the child who is currently using the seat. Give it a try! My seat is an September 2009.

Mine is an XT and the mesh is snagged.

Our other is a Malibu style and I have not hand-washed it or even taken it off b/c I am afraid to do so. The while has turned gray. Yuck!

Anywhere to get a new cover for an XT? Even if I have to pay? I want a NEW one, though. Really the mesh is a disappointment and should not be all frayed, but the Malibu dirt is our fault b/c a child was always climbing over it with shoes when we had 3 in a row.

The XTSL covers will fit the XT. The hip snaps aren't the same on some, some are plastic others are metal snaps. But the cover stays in place just fine. I had a XT (rio) that I bought a Flora cover for and it was perfect.

I talked to Susan. She did not ask for pictures or anything. I had to send Manufacture date, serial date, and a few other things.

Just sent me my choices of covers. When I told her that the child using it has Autism and sensory issues and that I needed something soft, she immediately let me get Primrose. It was not originally on the list. She was awesome.

My malibu is seriously faded as well, and we have tinted windows and the car was under cover all last summer, so it really shouldn't be that faded.i will be calling them for sure.

I got a replacement recently, too. I sent an email to Susan (helpspot@skjp.com) and she gave me a few cover choices. I received it within about 2 weeks. I was also out of warranty. I had the mesh Sport cover and it was looking terrible. I now have the Metro.

I called CS yesterday and didn't get very far. I found Susan's direct number and called. She wanted pictures and emailed today saying they no longer have XT covers but would be sending an XTSL in Nitro (red).

I would have liked to try a darker color, but wasn't going to push it since my seat is out of warranty. Now to figure out how to get on swap to see if anyone wants to trade a Hampton for a Nitro
