I thought of this tonight, when the RA50 I had installed in my '99 Villager(rearfacing) ended up tilted up at a weird angle because the belt got pulled too tight(switchable retractor)
You know you've been installing carseats a long time when having to use a locking clip to get a good install doesn't phase you in the slightest, and you actually PREFER to use one over the switchable retractor(at least with a rear facing carseat I do).
I think I decided to "try" the Britax in the van without the locking clip just because well, I SHOULD be able to get a good install without one. But nope...
