Replace it?

My Radian was in my mom's car when she backed into a van

Her car has some obvious scratches on the bumper and the back corner panel is popped out a bit. The vehicle she hit was an older beat-up work van so the guy didn't care. It sounds like she wants to avoid going through insurance but does that mean I'm out a $300 seat? This didn't even occur to me until I was driving home today...ugh.

I'd be fine continuing use of the seat. She was probably only going 5 mph or less.

I would be totally fine continuing to use the seat. We kept using our seat after we backed into my neighbor one morning. We were barely going 5mp & there was no damage to our car & hers only had a tiny little dent. The only reason she had a dent was b/c we backed into her front passenger panel with the corner of our bumper.

Just wanted to say...I think beat up work vans are a magnet for people backing into them!! My dh drives one and has been backed into at least 3 times in the past several months, maybe more. I have never been backed into even when I drove the same van as a passenger van. It wasn't ugly, dirty, and beat up then!! :p

I don't trust the airbag sensors enough to put a RF seat there. Its a Ranger so only 2 usable seats, both in the front.
