One of dh's co-workers has an 18yr old daughter who was in a fender bender today. In the McDonald's drive thru no less - her boy friend went to stop to talk to someone, accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes and hit one of those yellow cement poles they put around the drive thru lane.
Anyways, the girl wasn't wearing her seatbelt and hit her head on the windshield.
Just goes to show that it truly is important to wear your seatbelt in a parking lot and that low speed accidents can still cause injury. I know we all knew that already, but I'm hoping that this girl learned her lesson.
Apparently her dad is having no part of her pity party since she wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Hopefully she won't make that mistake again...
