Question Summer cover for MA 70

Is the Onyx the only cool cover for the MA 70? DD gets really sweaty in her Cow cover, so thought I would try to get a summer cover since she will be in the seat a long time. I see MA 70 covers on e bay, so just wanted to check if Onyx is cool.

Would an Onyx cover really help? I think my oldest had an Onyx on his MA 65 and it seems like he was cooler than my middle DS that had a plushier cover on his RA.

Anyone else know where to find cheap covers?

FYI they have a MA 70 Cow cover on eBay for $44.99 shipped, that seems pretty good to me.

How about Waverly and Jet Set are they cool covers too? They look like they might be not plush. I am just trying to keep my options open.

Watching this...I'm buying the seat soon, and coolness is a big issue, since it's 95-100 now in Louisiana!

Bump...anyone know about Britax covers? Is Onyx the only cool one?

If I remember correctly from the last time I was in the store feeling the carseats up Blueprint is a slippery smooth material similar, but not identical, to onyx. It would probably be cool. Waverly is an upholstery type material (plush on the headrest of course though) so while its not as smooth and potentially cool as onyx or blueprint, I wouldn't think it would be anywhere near as hot as a plush cover. Just from pics...Jet Set looks like maybe its an upholstery cover of some sort too. :twocents: HTH!

I'm looking for one, too, for my bv70. Thinking paisley and Caitlin look less plush? But who knows? I think because they are newer, less people know about them.

I have a Blueprint and I think that would definitely work. The waverly may work as well, it just isn't slippery like Jet Set and Onyx and Blueprint.

i used the plushy cowmoo even tho it was way too hot in the summer. it was just so pretty.

for the regent we have both the onyx & sahara that are both slippery in the middle. i do find that the onyx seems hotter of the 2 since its black. so the onyx is our winter cover & sahara (more tan) is the summer cover.

Yes, where the child sits is slippery. It is a grey plush on the outside and then a blue/grey slippery on the inside.

I have both Cow and Onyx covers for our BV 70. I would definitely recommend the Onyx for summer. I live in South Florida and I can't imagine using the Cow cover in our heat. My almost 3 year old never sweats in the Onyx but the 10 month old does a little...must be all that chub
