CA vs Complete Air SE?

The SE has the adjustable base - you're unlikely to need a noodle if you get the SE model. (I believe they're still using the nice base on the SE model.)

I am waiting to hear what the overall recommendation will be on Canadian seats regarding the rf'ing recline angle and will share what I can when I'm able. I'm not sure that the current discussion is enough to avoid the seat, but it depends on what kind of car you have.

What I can tell you is if a parent came in with the seat installed at a 40* angle I wouldn't be telling them their seat was incompatible if there wasn't room to recline it more. At this point we don't have enough information from the Canadian perspective and being that the average parent/technician isn't going to be privy to facebook, and there is a history with knowing dorel seat indicators can't always be followed, I simply can't get myself worked up over the 45* until I hear more. That being said I am certain I would not push for an upright install... but in that 40* range I wouldn't have concern. And I know in my car that I could've had that amount of recline while still having a safe amount of room in the front seat. So unless you have a small car like a Honda Fit, it most likely will fit.

(I'll also add that with the exception of small vehicles, I have never been someone to push to get a seat as close to 30* as possible for an older child. I don't believe in using tools to try and get an exact angle measurement on a seat and line level to ground is somewhat subjective even if you're aiming to follow that line...)

The CA does not having a reclining base. The LX does. The SE is the LX with a "premium" fabric and a particularly eye-catching silver-on-black design. I have an SE and I really really like the fabric.

So the SE does have a reclining base, but it also has a nicer cover.

All that said, with all the crap about unreasonable installation guidelines, if I were to buy a car seat today it wouldn't be a CA at all, regular, LX, or SE.

The SE is just an LX with a "special edition" cover with nicer fabric.
