Well today was Craptastic

I had to go get one of my daycare charges from school 2 hour early dismissal. Then another one of my boys goes to another school and I missed his bus and I had to go to the school to retrieve him off the bus. Then the gas was low so I had to go to get gas. Im sitting in line to get gas and this little old man gets back into his truck and then backs it into me. SO he pulls it forward and gets out of his truck comes back. Mind you I have my totally pissed off mad face on of how dare you run into my van.

So I get out of my van and his first words were "I'm sorry,I didnt see you" uh hello I'm 82" tall and 5' wide how can you not see a 12 passenger van. His words "Well I didnt look in my rearview mirror". SOrry bud you just opened the door for a chance to rip you a new one from me. SO I laid into him telling him this is a daycare van with kids currently in it, I now have to go home and call every parent of these children and tell them what happened. Then I proceded to tell him what if there was a child behind your truck and you didnt look the outcome would have been worse or better yet what someone walked between our vehicles and you pinned them between our vehicles? Needless to say right then and there he began to cry and was shaking because he was so upset with what could have happened.

SO after all was said and done everything turned out fine. No parents were mad and nobody was hurt except me mentally because that it was a long and eventfull day. I cant wait till bedtime to go to sleep and wake up to a new day.

I'm sorry you had a bad day. I'm glad you and your kids are okay.

I think that if I accidentally backed into somebody, and that somebody yelled at me until I cried, and I came here to post about it, I'd get a lot of sympathy.

I wasnt yelling so much as I was talking in a firm tone of voice I was just so upset about my kids and my carseats, and what my daycare parents would do to me.

I understand being upset, but it's really best not to get into any kind of confrontation with a stranger. You never know what can happen.

We all make mistakes and he was clearly wrong. I would have called the cops to come take a report and let them handle any chastising.

I'm sorry your day was so stressful and I'm glad no one was hurt.

Glad the kids are ok. And I'm pretty sure I would flip at anyone who touched my car with kids in it. I might be wrong but in the moment I'm sure I would be too terrified and pissed to care.
