Vent Seriously...?

Kiss Me Deadly

I think I've touched on this subject before, but here it goes again...

I'm moving my 3 month old from a Maxi Cosi Mico to a CCO. I really don't care for the bucket, and wouldn't have used it at all except that my LO was a NICU baby, and had to pass all of their damnable car seat tests despite going home on monitors anyway.

So now, all of my family and friends (who FF their less than 1 year olds, booster their 3 year olds, and seatbelt only after 5) are reaming my tail because, you knw, if it's not a device that allows you to lug your baby around like a suitcase, then it's not safe for a baby!

Now, I know that a RF CCO is safe for my baby, and I can explain all of the reasons why to no avail. I'm just annoyed that people who seemingly don't care otherwise want to tell me that it's not safe when they have no freaking clue!

I'm just sick and tired of the majority of people JUST. NOT GETTING. IT!

UGH!! ::endrant::

Kindly invite them to get you proof from a credible source that what you are doing is unsafe. In their search, they might learn a thing or two about proper use and make some changes to how their own kids ride. I am sorry you are having to deal with this.

If I were you (I can be rather blunt) I would tell them to MYOB until they found proof that it was any less safe than an infant seat. And that would be the end of it :)
