I don't like these type of situations.
A mentor mom from mops DIL sister (are you still following) is coming from Norway for a visit. The sister needs to borrow a seat for 1 month. The kid is 2 yrs old, 40 lbs (18 kilos) and tall. Either DIL or the sister knows used seat are iffy.
I emailed mentor mom L after the first email and told her I would help, as I was a car seat geek. L responded that someone from mops offered a booster but wants to know if thats okay. I have already responded back as why not to use a booster. I think L is very open and appreciative of my knowledge. She confesses to knowing nothing about car seats.
I have a classic MA in my garage with a couple years left on it. It is my spare seat for DD2 friends. And, my sister is going to be using it this fall when she comes. Yes, she is bring my 9 month old nephew as a lap baby. That is a WHOLE different thread. Not knowing the DIL or sister I feel the seat would be crashed after returning it. I don't want to be out a seat. All my other spares are lbb.
Is there an inexpensive seat I could steer her to that would fit a big kid? Anyway of finding it for a great deal somewhere? As L said they really didn't want to buy a new seat for a month. I will be keeping my eyes on swap too.
