how to remove lower harness guides (plastic popoff things)

I managed to get the cover off the CA without removing the lower harness guides (those plastic popoff things), but I don't think I can put the cover back on without removing them. I checked the manual and it simply states that they need to be removed. I've removed them on other seats without much of a problem, but am having trouble with the CA. I think it's because there's only a tight space to fit my hand in on the underside. I don't know. Any tricks?

I just looped the cover on one side of them and then ran my nails around the guide until the cover was around them. It wasn't too bad.

Thanks. I found I had to turn the seat sideways, so the harness guides would come up a bit. Glad I don't have to pop them off like it says in the manual.
