Dorel just opened their new fancy testing facility in Indiana, right? And they're supposedly holding regular seat checks there.

I'd love it if some people went there to have Complete Airs installed. You know, with the line level to the ground. Just to see how it goes.

Maybe show up with a couple short-torsoed kids slightly over 40".

I'd like to see if they stick by their stance in real life and if they continue sticking to it once their staff CPSTs realize how impractical it is in real-world scenarios.

Ohh...So tempting. I have a friend who used to work at cummins there, maybe he could scrounge up a coworker or two to go there.

My mom works there!!!

I wish I had a CA, I'd go by next time I went to visit my mom.

If anyone wants to ever send her a CA, I'm sure she would be more than happy to install it upright and go by. :) not like it's out of her way!! She has a 2006 Mazda 3 hatchback.

I want to bring my 39 lb., 38 inch child with a 17.5 inch torso, who, if lying down at 53 degrees (I'd also bring my clinometer app) would probably be at the top of the shell...

Also, I'd like to see it installed in something with crazy slanty seats so they use a 12-noodle pyramid. :ROTFLMAO:

You're only going to be about five hours from there...

Id need about 12 in mine! I need 1 noodle under my marathon to get it to a 32 degree angle. My seats are evil!

I needed 3 noodles to install it at 30* in dh's Malibu. That car is not car seat/ seat belt friendly at all. I can only imagine how many noodles it would take to get to 45* or better yet the line being level to the ground. My CA is going home with my sister to Indiana next month. She needs a FF harnessed seat. Now to just decide what to replace it with .

I find the malibu awesome to install in. Mine isn't the new body style though.

Dh has a 2010, so new body style. DS1 won't 5 step for at least 2 yrs, maybe more in it because of the slant on the seats. Heck, I don't even 5 step. I may have to go get a couple of more noodles to cut up, just to see how many it takes to properly install the CA.

We rented a new body style (2010) Malibu and I found it awesome to install in-- except for a rear-facing CA. They did NOT get along. Luckily the RN went in beautifully.

The RN went in well for me too, but not our MR, EFTA or CA. The EFTA and MR eventually went in tight but it took forever and 2 people. Too bad the RN we had was one that the harness loosened on it's own.

I would love to find the time to go to a seat check at Dorel. What part of Indiana is Columbus near?

It is between Indianapolis, and Louisville KY. Right on I65. And literally just two minutes off of the interstate, super easy to find.
Awesome children's museum right there too. Kids Commons. The front door looks like the place would be tiny but it is HUGE. Tons of parks and playgrounds. Just sayin.... would be a fun trip!!!!!
