Decision now, re: CA

So, if your choices were to have a 27m old at a 45 degree recline (not yet sure if this is even possible in our vehicle) or FF, which would you choose? DH is not going to go for buying another seat, and our back up seat is a Scenera.

Could you sell the CA to fund another seat? Will the scenera fit at 45* if the CA doesn't.

I'm not sure if the scenera fits, I'm at work now so I haven't had a chance to play with it. I could sell the CA, but I know I'll want it when she goes FF eventually. I really like the headwings.

...he is going to be at an unsafe angle for a few days at least :(
I just want to point out that this (more upright) is a *potentially* unsafe angle. It is also entirely possible that it is just as safe or even a safer angle, and just happens to be non-approved for some other reason (CYA, $$-saving on testing, etc.) Not to say you should disregard the manufacturer instructions, but nitpicking the "unsafe" wording since we do not know that for certain (as Dorel has not seen fit to share their reasoning other than "It is our policy and CPS Curriculum to follow the manufacturer's written instructions." and "If you cannot achieve this angle in your vehicle, we cannot recommend you use this car seat to rear face your child.")
