Select the "Order Publications" link at the top of the form.
Select publication "544 - Installing Child Safety Seats"
You can order up to 100 brochures at a time.

Yep. They are mini books basically. Not best practice but great pics, great info, and all current seats.

If the page freezes when you order.... just walk away. Or you will get a lot of boxes...

Sent from my HTC Evo using Car-Seat.Org... please excuse typos and autocorrect!!

USAA.
Their INSTALLING CHILD SAFETY SEATS book is even revised (April 2011), reflecting the recent change in recommendations.

I am disappointed at page ten of the new book. They took out the paragraph stating:
Almost all forward-facing
child safety seats can be used
for a child weighing between
20 to 40 pounds. Newer models
have higher weight limits up
to 65 pounds.

They also state that combination seats cannot be used rear-facing.

Probably when using the term combination seats - they are referring to harnessed boosters (like the nautilus and frontier) which cannot be used rear facing.

Can't wait to get mine! Just ordered the packet (which comes with bike safety and others including the car seat one) for our school.

That's correct...a combination seat is one that converts from FF only harness to booster, like a Nautilus.

A convertible seat is one that can be used rear-facing then forward facing...like True Fit, My Ride, etc.
