I am trying to figure out what these are? They look like some kind of expiration or DOM stamp but I can't figure them out. They are on opposite sides of the boot thing on the bottom.

I´m not sure when AD will be back here. He is germany at the moment. But I can help you out. I don´t know what this is. But I can send your photos to the crash lab at Britax in Andover, England. the seat is made and tested there. These guys know the seat inside out.

What do you say. the photos are yours so you decide:)

Allright here it comes from Britax Crash Lab in Andover, UK

Hi Lena,

That is a simple one for me to answere. It's the day & month when the plastic was moulded by the supplier so that we can keep an eye on things.
With regard to you're other question, I am not sur eof the answe I am affraid but by all means pass over my details but please make everyone aware that I have to be carefull in what I say & may not always have answers for certain questions. I was looking on you're website & noticed that I don't get a mention with all my experience. lol

Lyndon

Obviously he allows me to mention his name, which is good.

Thanks! Now, can anyone figure out when mine was molded lol? It looks like about 20 dots on it. Very confusing

Twinsmom bought this seat initially and I am trying to figure out when the 10 yrs. would be up.

September/ October '08? Those are where the biggest dots are and the most in that position.

Looks like Jan 09 to me. They probably just add a dot to the mold. The old dots get left there, so it's only the latest dot that matters.

Have you asked Twinsmom when she bought them? If, say, she bought them in 08, that would throw my theory out the window.

Sorry, saw the thread late. Thanks for the input Lena. It's just as she says a way of keeping track of when the parts of the seat were made.

Swedish seats have no expiry date but we recommend not using them longer than 10 years. This has nothing to do with plastic, which will last for a very long time. It's instead due to things such as not knowing history of the seat, missing manuals, difficulty of finding spare parts after many years, possibly new standards, etc.
