infant buckets

So I am in the market for a new infant bucket.
We are foster parents, and never know how big the infant will be who's coming :). When our current little one goes to her pre-adoptive home (within the next month), we are only accepting 0-12 month old babies.
So, theoretically, I would like to have an infant bucket that fits itty bitties as well as tall and/or chubby infants.
Which infants seats are taller, and do these seats typically also fit tiny babies? Any of them come with RF tether or that bar thing?

Price isn't really important, and neither is width, since a tech and I couldn't get 3 across in the 3rd row of my '08 dodge caravan using 2 radians and a scenera OR 2 radians and a myride :(
So I think 3 across will never be in my car...

I think the OnBoard 35 is perfect for you. Fits tiny babies well and is one of the longest lasting buckets for height and weight.

There's also the Coccoro which is a convertible but may help with a 3 across...did you use a tech from this board?

On my iPhone...Probably NAK or PAK ;-)

I agree that the OnBoard 35 would probably be a good option for you.

I also LOVE the First Years Via. It fits teeny-tiny babies (including my friend's former 5-pounder) and big babies (including my DN when he was pushing two). Its handle also can be moved all the wasy forward to be used as an anti-rebound bar in the car.

Yep - Kac and I met and tried to do 3 across for like, an hour while my kids whined and complained  She was very patient.
