Two Evenflo Questions... Gen vs Maestro and Sure Latch?

Two random Evenflo Questions that came up today:

1. Someone asked me about the Generations 65 seat, and honestly I had no idea it's a 65# seat now, didn't it used to be 40? Just curious how people feel about it, since the Maestro is still recommended the most around here for a budget combo seat. How do they compare?

2. A friend just moved her 1 year old RF into an Evenflo Momentum, and asked me to take a look at it today. It's the first time I've encountered Sure Latch and I didn't really get it. It's kinda like a locking seat belt retractor, right? The seat was a little looser than I would've liked, but with just pushing down on the seat, nothing happened with the latch straps, I tried to kinda force the strap into them and got it to go a few more clicks but nothing very significant. I only looked at it for a minute or two though, it was one of those "hey can you look at my car seat?" situations where we were leaving and my 2 year old was cranky and needed lunch/nap so it wasn't a proper check by any means where I'd do some more research and read the manual, etc. I'm curious to hear some more info about how best to use it though.

1. The Generations 65 goes up to 65 lbs but the top harness slot is shorter than the Maestro so the Maestro usually lasts longer. The Chase has tall top slots but only goes to 40 lbs. I don't know where the Chase's slots are in relationship to the Maestro.

2. I have no idea.

That's the idea with SureLatch. How loose was the seat? Pretty much you're just supposed to get it tighter by pushing the car seat down into the vehicle seat and letting the LATCH contraption on the seat take up whatever slack. (Personally I'm not a huge fan.)

Generations is shorter, so you'll see it suggested with younger, heavier children and with children who have extraordinary short torsos. 45 Lb two year olds, kids who outgrow the cosco high back booster at five, etc. the maestro is generally better for typical kids.
