Latch hitting the carseat shell?

What are the rules on the latch hooks hitting the carseat shell? As in, on a Britax Marathon, the britax latch hooks not only touch the base of the seat, but on one side, the anchor is actually behind the base. Is that okay? Do you need pics for that to make sense?

It's not a problem. The only reason that there's a rule against the seatbelt latchplate going into the carseat shell is that a locking latchplate will tip against the plastic and loosen. If you have sliding latchplates or LATCH, then you aren't facing that issue at all, so no need to worry :)
