7/10 DOM on seat I just bought?

(I hope this is in the right forum, if it's not I apologize!)

So I just got my new CCO (I love my mail lady!) and the DOM is 7/2010. I ordered it online but didn't get it on sale or anything (although I did get them to price match for me). Is this an acceptable DOM on a seat I bought brand new and not on sale? I'm partially feeling it's fine and partially feeling it's already almost a year old.

I just got a parkway sg for dd3 and it has a 7/10 DOM as well. I was bummed at first and was hoping for something newer, but decided it wasn't worth sending it back and everything. I figured it out and it won't expire until we no longer need it anyway.

I got the same dom on a parkway sg i got for my dd . It came from diapers.com and i am very disapointed that it has such an old dom with out any warning. I have called and they said they would look and see if they had one with a newer dom but that was over a week ago and no one has called me back. I guess it is time to call back.

I ordered from diapers.com too.

I would call.

I'm wondering if calling will do me any good though? I didn't (and can't) get free shipping and I bet if I send it back I'll have to pay shipping back and then shipping again for a new one to be sent. But it is starting to bug me that by the time we're ready to use it (due in July) it will have lost a year of life. Maybe I'll just call and see what they say.

I doesn't hurt to call. I don't know that it would be that big of a deal to me if I was only planning to use it for the one child it was being purchased for. The CCO will be outgrown long before it expires.

Our Monterey we got in March had a dom of 6/2010 from diapers. I didn't call but also only paid $99.

When I bought a Chicco for the baby that I am pregnant with I was put off by the DOM. Then I realized that even if the carseat had a DOM that was two years old it wouldn't matter because this is probably our last and we won't need it for that long anyway. Thankfully the nice man at BRU got me the newest one he could find, but my point is if you have to send it back and pay for shipping yet again, I would not worry about it unless you may need that extra year.

My baby seat was 2 years old brand new! It was on sale, but I still didn't realize the seat would be that old.
Now we'll have to plan the next kid around when the seat expires, ha!

Well, actually, an excuse to get a new seat in a few years won't be so bad. But I have not seen much changes to bucket seats at all for years (other than that they now fit huge kids and forget about fitting that in a car). It's the convertibles and boosters that seem to really be getting better! Slowly.
