My freind is in the hospital. I HAVE to go get a perscription today. The 15 pass van we've been using broke down and can't get it fixed till later on this week. We were able to get sitters for all the kids but 4. All I have to drive today is a 5 pass car, air bag up front. I can get 3 across in back no problem, but I'm not sure what to do with the fourth kid? Would you say put the oldest FF harnessed kid up there (seats availiable RN xtsl, regent, apex no tether), or would it be better to put the oldest (6) in a booster (evenflow big kid HBB, or TB NBB) up there? The 6yr is not totally booster trained but I'm confident with me sitting right there he'd be fine. I will make sure to put a FF behind it so that it can be pushed all the way back.

I don't like this at all, but I've done all I could to get sitters for as many kids as possible. My mini got crushed this weekend and my dad is working with the suburban. I could use a 02 town and country BUT the side doors wont open and there are no captions so one would still have to sit in front, plus 3 across is harder to achieve back there.

The oldest FF harnessed kid goes up front, preferably in the Radian, though the headwings may interfere with your ability to see and therefore drive safely.

The reason to put a harness kid up front is that way you KNOW they will not possibly be out of position at the moment of a crash, leaning into the path of the airbag. Move the front seat as far back as possible. An untethered seat is an untethered seat, regardless if it has a harness or if it is a booster. Head excursion allowances are the same.
